Since 2019, the B&M Impact Foundation has proudly partnered with the Catch the Stars Foundation to help young people pursue their academic dreams.

Catch the Stars was founded by Olympic gold medalist and WNBA champion Tamika Catchings to support underserved youth through fitness, literacy, and character development programs. Catchings was compelled to establish the foundation based on an understand that the youth of today are the stars of tomorrow. She wanted to ensure that lack of support never stood in the way of youth reaching their full potential.

Catchings own story is one of perseverance. She was born with a hearing impairment that affects both ears and has overcome separation from family, high expectations, and the pain of debilitating physical injuries to achieve excellence on and off the basketball court. Inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2020, Catchings is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in WNBA history.

Catch the Stars focuses on assisting under-served and low to moderate income communities throughout Indianapolis. At the heart of the partnership between Catch the Stars and B&M Impact Foundation is a shared belief: that long-term investment in young people transforms lives and strengthens communities.

Over the years, B&M Impact Foundation has provided 21 scholarships totaling $350,000 to students involved with Catch the Stars. By combining mentorship, community engagement, and financial assistance, the two organizations are equipping talented youth with the tools they need to thrive.

“We’re proud to stand alongside Catch the Stars in supporting students who are dreaming big and working hard,” said B&M Impact Foundation co-founder Sue Mahony. “Together, we’re building a pipeline of future leaders who will uplift their communities and create lasting impact.”
