Alivia Terry’s journey into healthcare has been rooted in resilience, purpose, and a passion for helping others. The B&M Impact Foundation is proud to have played a role in her continued success.
Over a decade ago, Alivia was awarded a half-tuition scholarship from the B&M Impact Foundation to attend St. Richard’s Episcopal School in Indianapolis. Even then, her drive and potential were unmistakable. That early investment helped create a strong academic foundation and opened doors to new possibilities.
Years later, B&M Impact Foundation doubled down on its investment in Alivia’s future. Alivia received a four-year scholarship to pursue a degree in health sciences at the University of Cincinnati.
Maintaining a strong commitment to personal growth, she successfully navigated a demanding course load that included anatomy, physiology, and physics. Alivia sought tutoring, formed study groups, and strengthened the skills she needed to succeed.
She also joined the Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program, completing a research proposal exploring the relationship between mindfulness, diet quality, and physical activity during the COVID-19 pandemic. Inspired by this experience, Alivia added a nutrition minor to her academic plan and began preparing for the next stage of her healthcare career.
Now, Alivia is taking the next bold step on her professional path: beginning a Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Indiana State University. She does so with the continued backing of a third scholarship from the B&M Impact Foundation.
“As we enter our second decade supporting Alivia, we remain inspired by her dedication and growth,” said B&M Impact Foundation co-founder John Bamforth. “Her journey reflects the kind of long-term investment that changes lives—and strengthens communities.”
